Mangalore : Hindus protest against ban on HJS Website

Mangalore (Karnataka) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had published news about attack by Bangladeshi infiltrators on Hindus from Assam and attack by a Muslim organisation called Raza Academy in Mumbai. Congress Government has blocked the website for publishing such news. HJS activists, therefore, took out a protest march against this ban on ‘Adhik Bhadrapada Shuddha Ekadashi, Kaliyug Varsha 5114 (27.8.2012) in front of District Collector’s office. Mr. Ramanand, the district coordinator of HJS for Mangalore said, “Congress Government has imposed ban on a patriotic website instead of websites of terrorist organisations.” Sanatan Sanstha’s Sukanya Acharya said, “Imposing ban on a website which explains ‘Dharma-shastra’ to Hindus and imparts ‘Dharma-shikshan’, is doing injustice to Hindus.” After the protest march, representations were submitted to the District Collector for forwarding to the Central Home Minister and Mr. Kapil Sibbal, Minister for mass media, demanding lifting of ban. 50 devout Hindus participated in the protest march.

Police delay in granting permission

Police took one day for granting permission for the march, making activists to take rounds to the police station whole day; finally, permission was granted at 11.30 a.m. on the day of the march.
