Representations submitted to Mayor and Police about immersion of idols in flowing water

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti's activists submitting representation to Mr. Harishchandra Patil

Thane, 5th September – Sri Ganesha idols are brought home and public places followed with their consecration as per science. When idols are immersed in natural source of water as prescribed in Dharma, the remnants of idols  spread through flowing water and everyone gets benefit of Ganesha principle; even then, idols are immersed in artificial water tanks which are, later removed and loaded in a dumper. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, therefore, submitted representation to Mr. Harishchandra Patil; besides 11 police stations.

All of them promised to immerse Sri Ganesha idols in flowing water. Mr. Pratap Pandit, Prabhakar Parab, Mrs. Asha Changan, Mrs. Supriya Gaikwad were some of the HJS activists present on the occasion.

Arficial water tanks will nto be allowed to be built – Mayor

Mr. Harishchandra Patil, Thane Mayor said that ‘the drive undertaken by HJS is very commendable; it is actually our job; but you are doing it as our representatives. You don’t worry; we will not allow artificial water tanks to be built.’
