Sangli : Devout Hindus submit representations against Dr. Zakir Naik to BJP MLAs

‘We’ll discuss with CM and try for necessary action ! – promises Mr. Chandrakantdada Patil, BJP MLA

Sangli (Maharashtra) : Complaints have been lodged at various places in the State; but Police are trying to avoid registering complaints. No action has yet been taken against Dr. Naik. Today, activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted a representation to Mr. Chandrakantdada Patil, BJP-MLA from the Legislative Council. After accepting the representation, Mr. Patil promised that ‘he would discuss the matter with the Chief Minister along with BJP- MLA, Mr. Devendra Phadavanis and try for necessary action.’ Mr. Sambhajirao Pawar, another BJP-MLA was present on the occasion.

Sangli (Maharashtra) : Many complaints have been lodged against so-called Islamic Thinker Dr. Zakir Naik all over the State. At many places, however, Police are trying to avoid even registering of the complaint and no action has been taken against Dr. Naik despite several complaints. A representation was submitted by activists of HJS on Saturday to BJP –General Secretary and MLA, Mr. Devendra Phadnavis for looking into the matter promptly when he promised them that he would follow up the matter for taking necessary action at Government level.

Palus (Dist. Sangli, Maharashtra) : At Palus Police Station, devout Hindus had gone for submitting representation. Police Inspector (PI), Mr. Sanjay Pawar said, “I cannot register a case. I will accept this complaint as a representation. You make changes in this and state that ‘After inquiry, necessary action may be taken’. After due changes were made by devout Hindus, then only PI accepted the complaint as a representation.
